The camp facilities are available for rentals on most weekends in the fall and spring, during May, late August (after our summer camp program ends), September, and October. We have had family reunions, weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, sorority retreats, school groups, and church groups who have used Camp Tannadoonah for events in the past few years.
The cost depends on the size of the event, the number of days you want to use the facilities, which buildings you want to use, if you want exclusive use of the property, and how many people will be attending. Weddings, reunions, and other parties generally only use the Dining Hall building and sometimes the amphitheater. The cost for these types of events is $1000 for the day of the event, and $250 for each additional day. The additional days may be for set-up and decorating, rehearsals, and clean up after the event. If you wanted to rent the Dining Hall for a Saturday wedding, and wanted to reserve Friday for decorating and Sunday for cleanup, the total cost would be $1500. The Dining Hall can accommodate up to 200 guests.
Our Welcome Center is also available for small parties and events, such as birthday parties, bridal or baby showers, or work retreats. The Welcome Center can accommodate up to 20 guests with tables and chairs, or 40 guests with chairs only. It is heated and air conditioned, and has a gas fireplace, bathrooms, and a small kitchenette. The cost for use of the Welcome Center is $200 for a half day (up to 4 hours), or $350 for the full day (up to 8 hours).
For groups who wish to use Camp Tannadoonah for outdoor education purposes, the cost depends on the number of participants, the number of days, buildings to be used, meals to be provided (if any), and programming to be provided by the camp staff. If you are using camp for an event, you can reserve cabins for your guests or participants to stay overnight at camp. Each building has a different cost, depending on the size of the building and the available amenities. The cabins range in size and number of beds, with the smallest cabins accommodating 13 individuals, and the largest accommodating up to 25 individuals. The buildings range from $150 per night to $500 per night, depending on number of beds and amenities. Overnight guests are responsible for providing their own bedding.
If you are interested in bringing a group to camp, and would like Camp Tannadoonah to provide staff, programming, or food services, please contact us for more information. For programming, we may be able to provide lifeguards, archery instruction, low ropes facilitators, or other program staff desired by groups.
