Important note about CITs: Participating in the Counselor-in-Training program does NOT guarantee a future job at Camp Tannadoonah. It is a training program for campers to learn about the responsibilities of being a counselor.

CIT 1

Great campers make great counselors! CIT 1 is the first level of our Counselor in Training program. CIT 1 is a two-week long session. In 2017 there will be three different CIT 1 sessions to choose from: CIT 1 Option A: June 18 – July 1, CIT 1 Option B: July 9 – 22, and CIT 1 Option C: July 30 – August 12.

CIT 1 participants are still campers, but will observe the counselors, help at activities, and learn about what it takes to be a camp counselor. CITs are supervised by our fabulous CIT director, Miss Julie. CIT 1 participants must be age 15 or older, and must attend both weeks of the session.

CIT 2

CIT 2 is the second level of our Counselor in Training program. CIT 2 is a three-week long session, from July 23 through August 12 in 2017. CIT 2 participants will take on some of the responsibilities of counselors, but still get to participate in many of the fun camper activities. It’s the best of both worlds! CITs are supervised by our fabulous CIT director, Miss Julie.

CIT 2 participants must be age 16 or older, and must attend all three weeks of the session. They also must have participated in the CIT 1 program at Camp Tannadoonah.

CIT 3

CIT 3 is a leadership program for campers who have completed the CIT 1 and CIT 2 programs at Camp Tannadoonah. It is a four-session long program, from July 5 through July 29. Participants for the CIT 3 program will go through an interview process, and must be selected to participate. By registering online, you are applying to participate in this program. It does NOT guarantee acceptance.

The CIT 3 leadership program will be led by our fabulous CIT director, Miss Julie. CIT 3 applicants must be age 17 or older, and must attend the entire four-week session.
