Camp Tannadoonah offers a day camp program that is perfect for younger campers to try out camp! It's also a great option for summer childcare. There are special discounts available for campers who sign up for 6 or more sessions of day camp in the same summer.

What better way to spend your summer than outside with friends, enjoying nature, canoeing on beautiful Birch Lake, practicing your archery skills, and making crafts? We try to make the day camp experience as similar to the overnight camp experience as we can.

Drop Off

Day Camp Drop Off is in the circle in front of the Welcome Center. Day campers may arrive at any time after 7:30am, and if they arrive by 8am they may join us for breakfast. We recommend that day campers arrive before 9:30am, which is when the first formal activity of the day begins. Parents must sign their camper in with a staff member upon arrival each day. 

Pick Up

At the end of the day, parents may pick day campers up any time before 6pm. The last formal activity of the day ends at 5:15pm, so we recommend picking up between 5:30 and 6, but if you arrive earlier we will radio your camper’s group to bring them to the check out area. Day Camp pick up is in the circle in front of the Welcome Center. Parents must sign their camper out with a staff member upon leaving each day.

Friday Night Closing Campfire

On Friday evening, Day Campers may stay for Dinner and the Closing Campfire. If your day camper is going to stay on Friday evening, you should plan to pick them up at 9:15pm.

Sleeping Over at Camp

There may be an opportunity for day campers to sleep over one night at camp. This is only available if there are beds available in the age-appropriate cabin for your camper. If your camper is interested in sleeping over one night, please talk to Miss Gabby by Wednesday of the week they attend.
