Contribute to our Endowment

Camp Fire has an endowment fund with the CFSJC. Proceeds support scholarships for Camp Tannadoonah. You can contribute directly to the fund through the CFSJC website. Be sure to select "a favorite charity's endowed fund" and then choose Camp Fire Camp Tannadoonah from the dropdown menu.

Your support is critical to our success. Whether that is an in-kind donation of supplies or labor on a project, to donations to cover expenses, provide scholarships, or fund facilities improvements, sharing our #GivingTuesday post on Facebook… from $5 to $5,000, every gift makes a difference.

Camp Fire River Bend is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We rely on your generosity to continue reaching new children and improving our programs, facilities, and impact. Donations to Camp Fire and Camp Tannadoonah are tax deductible, charitable contributions. How will my contribution be used?

Area of Greatest Need

These gifts are not restricted for any particular purpose, but provide our organization with the flexibility to spend where it sees a need. These funds are often used for unforeseen expenses, new projects, or general operating expenses. In 2020, we used unrestricted donations to continue to pay our full- and part-time staff during the COVID closures, and cover shortfalls related to reduced income.

Camperships

Camperships are scholarships to help youth attend summer camp and our after school programs. In 2021 we awarded nearly $47,000 in camperships to a total of 115 youth. Campers receive full or partial camperships, which are awarded based on financial need.

Capital Campaign

Over the past decade, our board and staff have been working very hard to raise the bar by improving our camp facilities. We are nearly finished with the restoration of Morris Lodge, and plan to begin a major renovation and expansion of the Dining Hall in the next year. Other upcoming goals include a climbing wall and high ropes course, new camper cabins, and improvements to staff housing. Please help us meet our goal and continue to improve our ability to serve youth at Camp Tannadoonah!

Accomplished through your generous donations

With the help of generous donations and fantastic volunteers, we have completed the following facilities projects in the past few years:

  • Expanded and upgraded bathroom in Morris Lodge (coming winter 2021)
  • New porch on the Health Center (2021)
  • New deck on the lake-side of Morris Lodge (2021)
  • Interior finishing of Morris Lodge (2021)
  • New electrical and lighting in Morris Lodge (2020)
  • Upgrades to staff spaces in Main Lodge (2019)

We have many other facilities projects on the horizon, and hope to keep improving Camp every year. If you are interested in making a contribution to our facilities fund, here are some of the projects your donation can help to fund:

  • Kitchen renovation and Dining Hall expansion
  • New Cabin(s)
