Year-Round Leadership Roles

Camp T on Birch Lake is seeking TWO Assistant Camp Directors who are inspired by developing others, strengthening teams, and nurturing a vibrant camp community. Camp T is located in Vandalia, Michigan, about 45 minutes from South Bend, Indiana and 2 hours from Chicago, IL. These are active, multifaceted roles that bring together programming, operations, recruitment, training, and event support in a dynamic, mission-centered environment. Above all, this position is rooted in people—supporting staff growth, encouraging collaboration across departments, and upholding Camp T’s Core Values. Your leadership will help shape meaningful experiences and build a community where everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Assistant Director of Operations

The Assistant Director of Operations role centers on the effective management of daily operations, including logistics, administrative systems, risk management, and budget oversight. In partnership with the CEO and Assistant Director of Programs, this position ensures that facilities, programs, and staff operations run efficiently and safely, while coordinating staffing processes, maintaining compliance standards, and optimizing internal workflows. In collaboration with the CEO, this position contributes to long-range planning, operational strategy, and continuous improvement efforts. Some days you’ll be outside facilitating activities or leading a backup plan on rainy days; on others, you’ll focus on hiring, training, and coaching staff, or partnering on marketing efforts.

Assistant Director of Programs

The Assistant Director of Programs drives program creation from concept to execution—overseeing curriculum design, seasonal programming, evaluation, and continuous improvement. In partnership with the CEO and Assistant Director of Operations, the position also supports broader camp operations, including budget management, staff recruitment and training, and alignment of programs with marketing, enrollment, and philanthropic initiatives. Additional responsibilities include supervising program planning processes, ensuring compliance with risk-management standards, and contributing to administrative and alumni engagement efforts. Some days you’ll be outside facilitating activities or leading a backup plan on rainy days; on others, you’ll focus on designing programs, training staff to implement them, and partnering on marketing efforts.

School Year Positions

There are currently three school year positions open at our Before and After School programs. These positions are perfect for individuals looking for limited hours.

After School Program Lead: Sam Adams Elementary, Cassopolis, MI

The program lead oversees our After School Program at Sam Adams Elementary School in Cassopolis, Michigan. In collaboration with the School Year Programs Director, the after school program assistant, the after school program lead ensures high-quality program delivery and a positive environment for students and staff.

The After School program operates on all scheduled school days, from 3:15pm to 6pm. We also offer occasional all-day and half-day programs when the school district has staff professional development or parent-teacher conferences.

Before School Program Staff: Edwardsburg Intermediate School, Edwardsburg, MI

We have TWO openings for Before School Program staff at our before school program at Edwardsburg Intermediate School in Edwardsburg, Michigan. The before school program staff supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, and engage with students in games and activities.

The Before School program operates on all scheduled school days, from 7am to 8:10am. Additional hours may sometimes be available at our After School programs, from 3:30pm to 6pm.

Seasonal Summer Staff

Camp T is now accepting applications for summer staff positions at camp. We have cabin counselor positions, kitchen staff, maintenance crew, lifeguards, health staff, photographer, and leadership positions available. All positions are seasonal.

Summer camp staff are responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and fun camp experience for all campers. Team members lead daily activities, supervise groups, model positive behavior, and contribute to a welcoming community. This role is active, hands-on, and centers on building meaningful relationships while delivering high-quality programs that reflect our mission and values.

The 2026 camp season runs from May 31 through August 16. For cabin counselors, kitchen staff, and leadership roles, priority is given to candidates who are available to work the full season. If you are not available for the full season, we still encourage you to apply as we may be able to find a role that fits your availability.
