In accordance with American Camp Association guidelines (ACA), at least 80% of our camp staff are 18 years of age or older. All of our staff are at least 16 years of age. Following Michigan Licensing rules, staff members who are under the age of 18 do not count in our supervision ratios. There are at least 2 cabin counselors in each cabin who are 18 or older. Staff members who are under age 18 are generally members of the "crew" (working in the kitchen and maintenance teams), or are program staff (leading activities, taking photos).
