Each session has a theme for the week, which is posted when we launch registration in the fall. We try to create themes that have broad appeal to campers of all ages. Staff use the theme to guide activity ideas for the week - including evening programs, crafts, sports activities, and decorations for the Dining Hall. For instance, during a Pirate-themed session, we might play "Capture the Treasure" instead of "Capture the Flag." Or the craft ideas for the week might be Pirate themed.
We also have an optional costume party on Friday night at dinner each week. Campers and staff may dress up in a costume that fits the theme if they choose to do so.
The themes are not a huge part of the camp experience, they just add a little variety to the weeks. We recommend you choose your session based on the dates and activities offered, not the theme!
