Starting in September 2024, Camp Fire River Bend will provide daily before and after school programming at Edwardsburg Intermediate School. The program operates on school-day mornings from 7:15 to the start of the school day, and school-day afternoons from the end of the school day until 6:00pm. Programs will include physical activities, arts and crafts, homework help, outdoor play, and STEM activities. Camp Fire Before and After School is licensed by the State of Michigan. Subsidized rates are available for families eligible for MI Bridges Childcare Funding.
Our After School programs incorporate Camp Fire’s Program Framework principles into our daily curriculum, and are structured in collaboration with the school to ensure that Camp Fire programs complement the participants’ education. Youth will be encouraged to spend their time in ways that align with their passions and unique talents. Our staff will gather youth input to tailor curricula to meet the needs and nurture the Sparks of the youth in the program.
