Activities at Camp

Each day at camp, we have four scheduled activities periods, each 45 minutes in length. Campers may pre-register for up to two activities, which will fill two of their four activity periods each day. The other two periods will be left open for "free choice" activities.

Pre-scheduled activities meet at the same time every day, for all five days of the session. Campers will receive a schedule card on Monday morning, showing which periods are filled with the pre-scheduled activities, and which periods they have a free choice block. During their free choice periods, campers can choose a different activity each day.

When you register your camper for camp, you will have the opportunity to select your camper's preferred activities. You can make changes to those selections up to ONE WEEK before your camper arrives at camp. However, many activities have a limited number of spots, and may not be available if you wait to sign up. To make changes to your camper's activities, please log into your UltraCamp account.

Cabin Life

Each cabin has 2 to 4 counselors who live in the cabin with the campers. Depending on the size of the cabin, there are 10-21 campers in each building; the ratio in each building is approximately 5 campers: 1 counselor. There are 9 camper cabins in camp: Cardinals & Wrens, Robins & Woodpeckers, Wallace, Sassafras, Tamarack, Chapple Lodge, Firefly, Lotus, and Morris Lodge. Our four newest buildings (Sassafras, Tamarack, Firefly, and Lotus) were built in Spring 2024. All of the other buildings have been renovated in the past 10 years.

Cabin assignments are made by age and gender identity. We do our best to accommodate bunkmate requests. When you fill out your camper’s registration form, there is a section called "supplementary information" to fill in any bunk mate requests. We are generally able to honor all of those requests, but we ask that parents limit bunk mate requests to campers who are the same age/grade or no more than one year apart. When we have bunk mate requests for kids of different ages to bunk together, our policy is to move the older camper down to the younger group.

Camp Trading Post

Campers / parents may make a deposit at the Trading Post prior to arrival at camp via your UltraCamp Account. Campers are not allowed to carry cash at camp, so this deposit is the only spending money they will have during the week. We recommend a Trading Post deposit of $25-$50, but the Trading Post deposit is OPTIONAL.

Campers may visit morning Trading Post during free swim if they would like to shop for souvenirs and camp supplies. The Trading Post is stocked with items such as camp journals, water bottles, backpacks, stuffed animals, flashlights, batteries, bug spray, envelopes and stamps, post cards, wristbands, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, pens and pencils. During morning trading post time, food and drinks are NOT available for purchase (it’s right before lunch!).

During the afternoon Trading Post time, all campers may choose one sweet item (such as ice cream, popsicles, candy, or soda), and one non-sweet item (such as a bottle of water, pretzels, popcorn, chex mix, cheez-its, or a counselor trading card). There is no extra charge for these items - they are included in the camp fee.

During the week, you can also check your camper's trading post balance via your UltraCamp Account, and add more funds if you choose to do so.
